Current Contests

Current Contests:

• There are no contests currently running. Please check back again in the future. A list of current and previous winners will be listed online.

The rules for all contests:

• Employees of The Central Pets Educational Foundation (CentralPets.com) are not eligible to be awarded any prizes.
• Independant contractors for CentralPets.com are not eligible to be awarded prizes for any month that they have otherwise been paid by CentralPets.com.
• Winners agree to their names being displayed on this site including but not limited to listings of winners. Email addresses of winners will not be displayed.
• In many contests, submissions and posts must be approved and published on the CentralPets.com website to qualify for the contests. The same goes for forum posts with the exception that since forum posts are not reviewed prior to appearing online, they are subject to deletion if they are determined to be inappropriate. Determination of what is appropriate is solely up to the staff of CentralPets.com.
• Winners in forums posts contests are often affected by the number of posts made. Therefore only quality posts which contribute to the value of the forums will be counted when determining winners. Determination of what is counted and what is excluded is solely up to the staff of CentralPets.com.
• For some contests the date is relevant such as 'Top Photo Submitter of the Month'. In this case the date submitted is used and not the date that the photo was published online. All dates and times used in these contests, including the beginning and end of each month, are Central Standard Time in the United States.
• For photo contests, to qualify for the contests, certain conditions are required.
  • The photos must be approved and published online to be counted toward totals.
  • The submitter must have chosen to have their name listed on the web pages as the contributor. Anonymous submissions cannot be counted toward totals for contest awards.
  • Photo submissions are counted by email address. Therefore photos submitted with a different email address will not be counted together.
• In the event of a tie, the person who submitted or posted for the largest number of different animals will be declared the winner.
• For the newsletter subscriber contest, we will attempt to contact the winner to award the prizes for 7 days. If after 7 days we are unable to contact the winner or if the email address is invalid, the next alternate will be declared the winner and awarded the prize.
• For the photo contests and forums posts contests, we will attempt to contact winners to award the prizes for 30 days. If after 30 days we are unable to contact a winner, the next alternate will be declared the winner and awarded the prize.
• These rules are subject to change as we 'fine tune' them.
